TICKET INSTRUCTIONS

Hello Dance Families!

The Body Barre is excited to be teaming up with DRT Performance Tix this year for tickets to our upcoming performance of “Big June Show” on June 6th-7th, 2026.

Tickets can be purchased at this link:
    https://33970.danceticketing.com

Things you need to know:

  1. For the best experience, use a desktop or laptop machine when purchasing tickets.
  2. Tickets are going to sell fast, so be ready to make your purchase when sales start at Wednesday, April 1, 2026 @ 10:00 AM (ET)
  3. If you are unsure which show(s) your dancer is in, use the Performer Lookup box at the top of the shows list to search for them.
  4. Bookmark your receipt when you are done, as that has a link to your tickets.
  5. Tickets can be printed or added to your Google Wallet for your convenience.

The DRT Platform is very easy, and you should have no problems making the purchase online to get the best possible seats. But, for any technical issues relating to purchasing tickets on the DRT platform, please give DRT Performance Tix a call at 706-550-1416. If you have any questions pertaining to you or your child’s involvement in the show that you cannot find on the PARENT INFO PAGE (https://thebodybarrestudio.com/information-for-the-big-show/) please contact us directly at thebodybarrestudio@gmail.com.

  • Parents dropping dancers off: do NOT check in with your ticket until you are ready to enter the auditorium. Drop your dancer where they need to be, and then check in once you’re ready to enter and stay in the auditorium.
  • You will enter the school and present either a printed ticket or ticket on your phone- if you have this you will enter the auditorium faster.
  • If you do not have a copy of your ticket you can email the studio to send you one, or you can see the ticket check in table where you can give them your name to retrieve your “ticket” in lieu of a physical ticket.
  • If you did NOT purchase a ticket, there is risk of SELLING OUT and not having tickets available at the door. See “ticket sales” table when you enter the building.

Ticket FAQ:

    • Every attendee needs a ticket, including dancer parents
    • Under 2 years old does not need a ticket but will not have their own seat- if you want your little to have a seat, they need a ticket
    • You must purchase a ticket to the show time you want to attend, if you want to attend both 11am and 5pm, you will need a ticket to each
    • Dancers in the show do not need a ticket
    • Seating is open, no assigned seats and first come first served
    • Theater doors open 30 minutes prior to show time
    • Due to a high volume of requests to transfer tickets from one show to another last year and the administrative time to do so, there will be a $5 charge per ticket for any transferring of tickets from the AM to PM show and vice versa
    • There are no refunds for purchased tickets at any time
    • Clapping/cheering is encouraged for dancers!
    • Studio code of conduct is enforced at show, any poor behavior from any attendee will result in dismissal from the performance
    • No photo/video during show OR dress rehearsal (we will once again be providing professional photos complimentary to you, and professional video will be available for purchase for online download as our rates for video went up significantly this year we can no longer offer it complimentary) *this includes at dress rehearsal please do not post ANY photos/videos on social media before our show!

FRIDAY
JUNE 5TH

DRESS REHEARSAL FOR SAT SHOW: LEVELS 1-4

  • At Glens Falls High School
  • Costumes/makeup/hair just like SHOWTIME!
  • Show up with hair/makeup/first costume ON but covered with robe/dress/sweats etc.
  • Carry dance shoes in do not wear them outside
  • 5:00 pm doors open for DANCER ARRIVAL
  • Walk your child to their assigned “dressing room” (see below) and then you may leave or enter auditorium to watch.
  • PLEASE NOTE: If you are age 7+ and only in ONE piece, you will not have a dressing room and will report to the balcony seating where they will be before/after they perform and can leave their costume coverup and dance bag/street shoes) as a dressing room will not be needed
  • ***DRESS REHEARSAL WILL BE RUN AS OUR MORNING SHOW TO INCLUDE OUR YOUNGER DANCERS!
  • We will run the entire show just like it is showtime! Full hair/makeup/costumes and in show order (with no intermission).
  • We will run through the FULL STUDIO FINALE quickly at the end- ANY dancer in the show is invited to participate in this, all ages/levels, they simply all enter stage as a group together from the back of the audience after Acro performs.
  • From the FINALE- dancers will be ushered off stage and back to their dressing rooms to collect their things and then depart with their parents. HAVE A PLAN for your child of WHERE YOU WILL RETRIEVE THEM as there are a LOT of moving bodies and no way to formally track children departing. For example- after the finale, my daughter knows to go back to her dressing room and sit there until I come in and get her. Maybe an older dancer will know that they will go get their stuff and meet out front of the school.
  • We anticipate the show to be ~2 hours.
  • ~8pm: We will be providing pizza complimentary after the run through on your way out.
  • Please exit the school promptly (costumes, etc. CAN be left in dressing rooms if you choose- do NOT leave anything in balcony)

SATURDAY
JUNE 6TH

11AM SHOW: LEVELS 1-4

  • At Glens Falls High School
  • Costumes/makeup/hair just like SHOWTIME!
  • Show up with hair/makeup/first costume ON but covered with robe/dress/sweats etc.
  • Carry dance shoes in do not wear them outside
  • 10 am doors open for dancers: arrive JUST LIKE Friday’s Dress Rehearsal- report directly to your dressing room/balcony until you are gathered for your time to perform.
  • PARENTS: there will be staff assigned to your child from 10am until the show completes, please drop your child at their dressing room (ages 8 and under you may stay with your child in the dressing room if you wish, but we suggest getting them ready and heading to your seat!), ages 9+ we ask that you drop your child to their designated area to reduce traffic in the dressing rooms and retrieve them after the finale at the end of the show.
  • No parents are permitted backstage at any time, if you want to watch the show you will need a ticket for a seat in the audience OR for ages 8 and under you can remain in the dressing room to receive them after they perform, please note you would NOT see their performance this way!
  • ***This show includes our younger dancers, they will not be performing in our 5pm show
  • 10:15am tickets/doors to audience open- SEATS ARE FIRST COME FIRST SERVED OPEN SEATING, PLEASE BE COURTEOUS.
  • 11am is showtime!!!
  • If your child is NOT participating in the finale, you may leave after your child is done performing, please be mindful of theater etiquette and noise/interruptions in the audience deplete the integrity of the show and is unfair to the dancers on stage. KEEP IN MIND: they CAN SEE YOU and is it discouraging to see groups of people exiting while they are performing!
  • YOUNG CHILDREN IN THE AM SHOW ONLY- We request you grab your kiddo during intermission rather than the end of the show, you can return to watch the rest of the show with your child from the audience if you wish to!
  • AFTER THE FIRST SHOW: all dancers out of the building for “lunch break” until 4pm! Belongings can stay if you wish. There will not be staff available AT ALL between shows before 4pm.

5PM SHOW: LEVELS 1-4

  • WE REPEAT THE SHOW
  • 4pm doors open for dancers
  • 4:15pm tickets/doors to audience open.
  • 5pm is showtime!!!
  • Everything will operate the same as the first show
  • If your child is NOT participating in the finale, you may leave after your child is done performing
  • After the finale, you will depart with your child with ALL THEIR BELONGINGS, and relish in the “post show” good vibes! Thank you!

COSTUME INFO

We pride ourselves in choosing costumes for our show that average ~$60 and try to incorporate dance wear pieces that can be reworn for class or everyday. We let the performance speak for itself over putting the burden of expensive costumes (typically $100+ even 15 years ago!) or spending funds on stage decor/props that would be expenses passed through onto parents.  Our show is simple but FUN and wonderful.

We have all tights and jazz/ballet/tap/turn shoes available for purchase at the studio in the retail section of the parent lounge!

See front desk or costume manager in parent lounge for assistance!
